Sandcastle Competition
The 28th annual AIA Sandcastle Competition is this weekend at East Beach.
On Saturday, May 31 from 9:00 am you can view the teams sculpting their creations. At 3:00 pm, the judges will announce the winners. This is always a fun event, and the sand sculptures are amazingly creative!
Disaster Preparedness Course
Also on Saturday, the Galveston Historical Foundation’s Preservation U is presenting a course on disaster preparedness from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday.
