Zahn has been active in the restoration of my own Victorian era houses and was actively involved in laying the groundwork for the formation of the San Jacinto Historical Conservation District. He is immediate past Chair of the Galveston Association of Realtors, have been Chair of the GAR Multiple Listing Service, Chair of the City of Galveston Arts and Historic Advisory Committee. He is a two time past Chairman of the Galveston Historical Foundation Events Committee, a past Chairman of the ad hoc Galveston Affordable Housing Committee, and a former Board member of the San Jacinto Neighborhood Association.
