Tom Schwenk has sold the Fadden Building at 2410 The Strand has been sold. It was co-listed by Tom and Houston broker Randall Moudray. Lucky Chopra purchased the building and will redevelop it as a bar. He is well known for his commitment to redeveloping historic buildings in Galveston and Austin.

Tom Schwenk says he is pleased to see further investment in Galveston’s downtown as new bars and restaurants are good for both locals and tourists alike. He also noted that Lucky Chopra had put considerable time and effort into improving the building.

The Fadden Building at 2410 The Strand was constructed in 1898 by Nicholas Clayton. As one of the most noted 19th century architects in Texas, Clayton designed the building for James Fadden’ s wholesale wine, liquor and cigar business in 1898. In 2013, the building received new underground primary service and health code assessments completed. In 2015 the Fadden Building was stabilized. Located at the western most side of the historic Strand district, the Fadden building sits on 5,160 square feet of land and consists of two floors totaling 9,890 square feet of interior space.
