Q: What opportunities do you see in the market?
A: To name a few: improving schools, expanding UTMB, Texas A&M container port, a new $60 million investment in the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, additional cruise ships, and having Houston with one of the strongest economies in the country in our backyard the opportunities are incredible!
Q: What are the top selling points in Galveston County?
A: Its location and how relatively inexpensive it is compared to other parts of the country. Its diverse housing stock has something for everyone. Commercially the future is bright, Galveston County is growing, meaning more opportunities for small and large businesses. Close enough to a big city yet each town and city in Galveston County has its own traditions and history.
Q: What is your favorite part of the job?
A: Being in the solution business. Every day I meet people who want to live here! I help people undertake a new adventure and help them in their transition to a new experience. Being naturally optimistic, it’s great to be able to share all the positive things about Galveston. Some are moving here, and I might be their first impression others are moving on and I want them to remember their last experience as stress free as possible.
Q: What does your home say about you?
A: I live in a turn of the century home with a great garden in a diverse neighborhood close to the beach. I love the tradition of my home and the people the neighborhood attracts. My home is a great place to entertain and I like to think people feel comfortable and at home when visiting. Those of us lucky enough to live by the sea are lucky enough!
