The Landmarks Commissions annual project is at 1713 Avenue M and will take place this weekend (August 10 & 11). Volunteers are needed to help out.This is a great project to restore a property to its historical glory. If you can help please call me  to sign up for a shift. We Celebrate Mr. Galveston
This week the island celebrated the extraordinary life of Mr. George P Mitchell with a service and fireworks. The George Mitchell family has designated the Galveston Sustainable Communities Alliance (GSCA), a 501c3 nonprofit, as one of the memorial charities for donations in-memory of Mr. George Mitchell. I am a board member of this organization and if you are planning a memorial, please keep this worthy organization in mind. If you wish to donate, you can do so at the GSCA website. The Mitchell Family will be notified of your memorial gift.
