Originally from New Zealand, Shannon first came to Galveston in 2011 and one of the first people she met was Tom Schwenk who was the leasing agent on the historic home she rented with her family. They have since rented another two homes and bought a home with Tom as their realtor.

Shannon is an award-winning public relations and marketing expert who has worked for companies ranging from small family companies to large multi-national corporations selling everything from much-loved products to professional services. She employs a multi-platform marketing approach to ensure that TGRE is top of mind for buyers and sellers with integrated campaigns including digital, social, email, print and experiential tactics. Shannon is particularly proud of TGRE’s commitment to sponsoring more than 50 local events and organizations each year.

She is a former member of the East End Preschool Parent Board and was a Founding Board Member of the Galveston Children’s Museum. Shannon enjoys family time with her husband Bryan, who now works at NASA and her two children. She loves Galveston’s restaurants, art galleries and theaters as well as the Island’s unique history. Shannon is also a freelance writer who is proud to write for Coast Monthly Magazine an award-winning local magazine recently recognized as one of the best in Texas.
